About me
Steve Hampton has been seeing the world through birds since he was seven years old. With a PhD in natural resource economics, he worked for the California Department of Fish & Wildlife for 25 years, where he was involved in oil spill response, seabird restoration, and coordination with Native communities. He currently serves as the Conservation Chair and Christmas Bird Count compiler for Rainshadow Bird Alliance in Port Townsend. In that capacity, he helps lead their At-sea Seabird Surveys.
