About me
In 1977 Sebastian Eggert rowed a lapstrake launch built by Peter Lentini of Olympia at the first
Wooden Boat Festival. He is the owner of Rain Shadow Woodworks, a general contracting,
woodworking and millwork business that employs ten people. He has crewed on the Hudson
River Sloop Clearwater and skippered nineteenth century gaff-rigged iceboats. He and his crew
recently refitted a fifty one foot wooden houseboat they did a major rebuild on five years ago. He
owns a 27 foot Tumlaren designed by Kurt Reimers, built in Stockholm for the Prince of
Denmark and owned for a time by Larry Pardee. (Maybe someday it will be back in the water!)
