About me
Jerry Farmer works for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as a Natural Resource Specialist for the Derelict Vessel Removal Program; a position he has held since August 2012. Jerry honorably retired from the United States Coast Guard in June 2012 after serving 23 years. His last tour of duty was Commanding Officer of USCG Station Grays Harbor, and Jerry spent about 19 years of his Coast Guard service along the Washington Coast from Cape Disappointment to Neah Bay. Additionally, he had spent his entire career operationally in the small boat community. He has brought a wealth of knowledge and validity from his last profession to dealing with derelict and abandoned vessels in the last 14 years with DNR.
