About me
Founder of Topsail Rigging Ltd., a traditional rigging & ships services company, Danielle started sailing on the brigantine ST. LAWRENCE II at the age of 13. Through her various projects she has received numerous awards, and is an Honourary Member of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects. Danielle graduated from the Enkhuizer Nautical College in the Netherlands when the school was still taught in Dutch. Danielle's company Topsail Rigging Ltd. specialises in traveling to remote areas, or to challenging rigging projects around the world. Topsail Rigging Ltd. brings together specialized teams of experts from around the world for each project. Danielle's work in rigging has taken her from the Caribbean to Greenland.
Danielle passionately speaks about her work, about clean energy, and inspiring others to challenge existing structures. Originally hailing from Canada’s Great Lakes, Danielle & her husband Julian Southcott live in the Caribbean on their wooden, gaff-rigged schooner.
