About me
Lowire is a funk and soul collective based in Port Townsend, Washington. At the heart of the band is a rhythm section locked deep in the pocket, blazing horn lines, and the electrifying guitar work of rising shredder Cam Dalsimer, whose playing cuts through the groove with both fire and finesse. Originally an instrumental project rooted in deep funk and improvisation, the band built its early reputation on tight musicianship and effortless chemistry. A few years ago the group entered a new chapter when seasoned vocalist Blü joined the lineup, bringing a powerful and expressive voice that expanded the band’s sound into new territory.
Since Blü’s arrival, Lowire has evolved into a dynamic live act blending funk, neo soul, hip hop, and jazz. Their performances move fluidly between deep pocket grooves and explosive instrumental moments, with the addition of vocals elevating both the band’s sound and stage presence. The current lineup has earned praise from audiences across the Pacific Northwest for its energy, chemistry, and musicianship. Lowire is currently working on their first studio album featuring vocals, marking a new era for the band and building on the instrumental record that first introduced their sound.
