Deadwood Revival is described as eclectic folk… a tasty soup of old-time bluegrass, rock, a bit of blues and even some classic country. Jason Mogi and Kim Trenerry, both multi-instrumentalists, are known as “the powerhouse duo”. Impeccable harmonies coupled with Jason’s unique clawhammer banjo style and tasty guitar along with Kim’s solid bass and driving rhythm guitar creates a sound that is much fuller than you would expect from a duo. Whether a pin-dropping tune or a raucous hoedown, their original songs have been deemed “superbly crafted” and “always performed with pure, honest passion”. Kim and Jason’s infectious spirits and evident joy in playing together adds an element to the music that you don’t hear…but you feel. And that’s what Deadwood Revival is all about.
